– حرص الدولتين على إبقاء قضية السد الاثيوبى الخلافى ضمن الإطار الثلاثى بين مصر والسودان وإثيوبيا دون استدراج لدول حوض النيل للوقوع فيها بهدف محاولة إضفاء الشرعية لهذا السد المخالف للقانون الدولى
تم عقد اجتماع إستثنائى للهيئة الفنية الدائمة المشتركة لمياه النيل بين مصر والسودان يوم الأحد الموافق ٢٣ فبراير ٢٠٢٥ لمناقشة مخرجات الاجتماع الاستثنائى للمجلس الوزاري لمبادرة حوض النيل والذى عُقد يومى ٢١-٢٢ فبراير ٢٠٢٣، وذلك لتوحيد الرؤى فيما يخص القضايا التي تهم البلدين وعلاقاتها بالدول المتشاطئة والمتعلقة بمياه النيل .
وتلى ذلك عقد اجتماع بحضور السيد الأستاذ الدكتور/ هانى سويلم وزير الموارد المائية والرى، والسيد المهندس/ ضو البيت عبد الرحمن منصور وزير الرى والموارد المائية السودانى .. حيث أشار السادة الوزراء الى تقديرهم لروح التعاون والإخاء التي تميز علاقات الدولتين من خلال أعمال الهيئة الفنية الدائمة المشتركة لمياه النيل بين مصر والسودان، مؤكدين على أهمية تعزيز العمل المشترك بين الدولتين واستمرار سعيهما للعمل مع دول حوض النيل لإستعادة التوافق داخل المبادرة وبما يمكن من عودتها لطبيعتها التوافقية التي بنيت عليها بإعتبارها الآلية الوحيدة والشاملة التي تجمع دول حوض نهر النيل .
واكد الوزيران على حرص الدولتين على إبقاء قضية السد الاثيوبى الخلافى ضمن الإطار الثلاثى بين مصر والسودان وإثيوبيا دون استدراج لدول حوض النيل للوقوع فيها بهدف محاولة إضفاء الشرعية لهذا السد المخالف للقانون الدولى، حيث نؤكد على خصوصية وأهمية العلاقات مع باقى دول حوض النيل الأخرى (دول النيل الجنوبى) .

Press Release on the Extraordinary Meeting of the Permanent Joint Technical Commission for Nile Waters
and the Ministerial Meeting of Water Resources and Irrigation Ministers of Sudan and Egypt
An extraordinary meeting of the Permanent Joint Technical Commission for Nile Waters (PJTC) between Egypt and Sudan was held on February 23, 2025 at PJTC- Cairo office, to discuss the outcomes of the Extraordinary NILE Council Ministers meeting (NILE-COM), which took place on February 21–22, 2025. The meeting aimed to unify vision on issues of mutual interest, particularly those related to Nile water and Transboundary cooperation with Nile basin Countries.
Following this, a ministerial meeting was convened, attended by the Ministers of Water Resources and Irrigation from both countries. The ministers expressed their deep appreciation for the spirit of cooperation and brotherhood that characterizes the relationship between the two nations through the work of the PJTC. They emphasized the importance of strengthening joint efforts and reaffirmed their commitment to working with Nile Basin countries to restore consensus within the Nile Basin Initiative. They underscored the necessity of preserving the inclusive and cooperative nature upon which the NBI was originally established, as it remains the sole comprehensive platform uniting all the Nile Basin countries.
Both ministers reaffirmed their commitment to keeping the dispute over the Ethiopian dam within the framework of tripartite negotiations between Egypt, Sudan, and Ethiopia. They rejected any attempts to involve other Nile Basin countries in a manner that could be perceived as an effort to legitimize a project that contravenes international law. At the same time, they emphasized the strategic importance of maintaining strong and positive relations with the other Nile Basin countries (Nile Equatorial countries).
